Rhizo Kaftan - Green Shoot

The Cassava Dress takes its name from the cassava root, a tuber that grows beneath the soil in branching clusters. The style is imagined as a layered composition that reflects the relationship between surface and what lies beneath.

The garment is a set of two pieces. A light-as-air silk organza outer layer features a guntai shibori–detailed collar and buttons with root-inspired accents. It is paired with an elegant A-line slip dress carrying root motifs that run from top to bottom.

The colour palette : Clay, Green Shoot, Loam, Mineral Peach, Sand, Patina and Ivory is derived from research into soils and the minerals that give them their distinct colours.
