Terra Kurta - Green Shoot

The Terra Kurta takes its name from the Latin word for earth, reflecting the collection’s exploration of root systems and the soils that sustain them. Root motifs created through guntai shibori are placed asymmetrically across one side of the body and along one arm, echoing the directional spread of roots beneath the surface.

The kurta follows a familiar Studio Medium silhouette, reinterpreted here with a V-neck and cut in mulberry silk.

The colour palette : Clay, Green Shoot, Loam, Mineral Peach, Sand, Patina and Ivory is derived from research into soils and the minerals that give them their distinct colours.
